What you need to ask before hiring any company:

  • What is your minimum fee, and what does it include?
  • Do you charge for estimates?
  • Does your company go by any other names? (The business name may have been changed because of a bad reputation or, the family thinks they are calling
several different companies when in reality they are calling the same company with multiple names/numbers)
  • Who will be performing job? (some companies claim to have branch offices, they are merely subbing out the job for a referral fee; some have formed alliances and will give each other bid info in order to keep the price up)
  • Do you require payment in advance? (We strongly discourage this practice)
  • For unattended deaths [decomposition], Will the entire contents of the room/ home need to be disposed of? (The answer should be no.)
  • Ask for references (see our reviews)

Why you should call Crossroads Crime & Trauma Scene Cleaning:

Family and friends should not be left to deal with the aftermath of a crime or trauma scene.  Having to deal with such a tragedy only deepens and prolongs the hurt and emotional healing.

We genuinely care about the emotional well being of our clients.  We are on call 24/7, drive unmarked vehicles, and are certified crisis responders.  Please see our reviews.

Most people do not have the equipment, tools, chemicals and training for proper decontamination and removal of contaminated items.

Our vehicles are fully equipped to handle most any situation.  What you see on the surface of a crime or trauma scene is generally 30-40% of what is really there.  Our experience has proven this time after time.

Family and friends should be able to focus on all the other pressing issues that come with a tragic event and the cleanup should not be a burden or distraction.

Although we are not a physical part of the family, we take each job to heart and are very sensitive to the family's needs and expedite a professional cleanup with restoration if requested.  An average cleanup takes 8-10 man hours; however, extreme cases can take days.  Timely cleanup of the scene reduces cost and structural removal.

Family and friends should not have to expose themselves to a possible biohazard risk, nor should they try to dispose of contaminated articles.

We have contracted with a medical waste company for the disposal of contaminated items, and we use only EPA approved, hospital grade cleaners and disinfectants.

Families should not be taken advantage of financially at a time when they are at their weakest point and are desperate for help.

We continue to work with Crime Victim's Assistance Programs, Insurance Companies, and are understanding of each client's unique situation.
